Parakino Sports

On Saturday the 1st of March, Parakino sports was on, if you don't on what it is, it is a place where every year people  come and ride their horses. Every year I go, I go because my grandad helps run the place and this year was the 86th year they have had it. Instead of riding all day we have some games for kids. One of the games we have are hoops, that is when there is bags of lollies and you get a hoop and try  throw it on  the bag of lollies. I love going to Parakino sports every year. 

Pet day

On Friday the 15th of November, at Fordell School, we had AG day. I bought in a lamb to AG day, her name is Lama, we got Lama from my dad's rugby coach Red. When we were going down the driveway the trailer door open and Lama jumped out and when dad, Georgie, Charlie went to get her she ran away, but when I got out of the car Lama came to me. When we got to school I was the first person to get to there, when dad left I went out to the field, I led Lama around and  I couldn't  believe that lama was walking beside me, because I had never led her before it was so exciting! When it was time for the show I was scared and I  think Lama was too.
We did not win anything but it was still fun! In the afternoon I had young framers, I was in the final, I was so nervous.I was facing Lauren and Rose, I thought I was going to lose. Since I all ready new what to do I WON!!! Yay!

When it was Prize giving I got 3rd  in Young Farmers!!!
I can't wait till next years Pet Day! 

Year 4 Athletics

Over the passed 4 weeks year 4 have been doing Athletics.  We have done dodging ,running and throwing . I think a lot of us know more things about sport.
 During week 3, the room 2 year 4s went to the cluster's athletics at the YMCA. At the cluster athletics, in my first race, for running I came 1st and in my second race I came 4th. I really like doing athletics.

How to have a good holiday cake .

 

Ingredients           

Taumaranui 

Farm

Babysitting

Car sick

Lunch

 

   

Method

 

Take 1 car sick family  and mix  with 2 noisy siblings.

Place sick bucket in the back .

Mix well, add a grumpy adult .

Pour in a yummy lunch.

Sift a friendly horse and a comfy saddle  together .

Then add a steep hill ,

beat well . Lastly  mix in 2 noisy children.

Then preheat the oven to 180  degrees. Cook for 45min,  leave for 3 days.               ENJOY!!!

 

                 

My Speech

Have you ever had a favourite animal, well I have so listen up,
mine is a dog called Ollie. 
I got Ollie  when I was two years old ,that was also how old he was. He used to live in town but his original owner's were moving to Australia. They needed  to find a new home, otherwise  he would have been put down. When we first got Ollie he was stressed and not sure about living in the country, now I'm pleased to know he loves the farm. He like chasing rabbits, balls and possums, barking at cattle and guarding the house. Now he is very much part of our family! 

Now you must be wondering why he is my favourite pet?
First,because he has always been happy around me, second, he like to chase  ,like me,third , he has always been there for me sines I was two years old. Now Ollie is also known as fun, friendly, strong,brave most of our values

Interesting fact of the week

 My fact for the week is about a sheep.
Did you know that the oldest sheep in the world is 25 years old? It died by falling off a 150 foot cliff in  the Western lsles.
It was  a blackface ewe,  nickname Twiggy because of her scrawny appearance, and she was just a month before her 26th birthday.

My Report on bumblebees

Did you know that bumblebees are very interesting insects . I have three good facts about them.
The first fact is where they live. The bumblebee lives with a lot of bumblebees, they live in hives with other bumblebees. Are you wondering what they eat? Well  I know what bumblebees  eat, they eat nectar and pollen. 

Do you know how bees fly ? I am going to tell you, bees fly by flapping their wings extraordinarily  fast, making a buzzing noise. They also fly faster than most people on earth can run.

Now you are probably wondering what types of bumblebee there are ?
There are three types, honey bees ,wasps and bumblebees.
Now you know that bumblebees are interesting.
