My Report on bumblebees

Did you know that bumblebees are very interesting insects . I have three good facts about them.
The first fact is where they live. The bumblebee lives with a lot of bumblebees, they live in hives with other bumblebees. Are you wondering what they eat? Well  I know what bumblebees  eat, they eat nectar and pollen. 

Do you know how bees fly ? I am going to tell you, bees fly by flapping their wings extraordinarily  fast, making a buzzing noise. They also fly faster than most people on earth can run.

Now you are probably wondering what types of bumblebee there are ?
There are three types, honey bees ,wasps and bumblebees.
Now you know that bumblebees are interesting.
  

Mountain Trip

On Monday the 16th of September, Room 2 went up the Mountain, it was cool!!! First the Beginners went then the Explorer and Independent. I was in the beginners, I think I learnt something. I learnt
how to turn.  When I first got off the big chair lift  I fell off and I had to crawl because I didn't want to get hit.
I really liked skiing on the mountain and my family  might be going up the there with George's family next week.    

Be funky

This week we have been working  on Be Funky and making Andy Warhol pictures . Andy Warhol is a famous artist, he designed a lot of pictures like the Queen, him self and other people and this is my Be Funky.

Museum Trip

Today Room 2 set off to the Museum to learn about birds and flight. It was very interesting touching and feeling some flying feathers and some non-flying feathers. While we were looking at the birds and seeing the unique flying technique that the birds use, there were also some bones to look at and feel. I enjoyed the visit.

House challenge

Last term we had a house challenge,it was probably the the biggest challenge last trem.It was a singing contest there were kowhai,miro and tawa I was in kowhai we were singing we will we will rock you... but tawa was the best so they won!!! well done tawa!

The Bull

On Sunday we had a Bull on our farm it was our neighbour bull. We had put it in the race it was in there for two hours then the bull decided that he would jump out... So he did but when he jumped out he broke a piece of wood and dented the gate.tineisha dad was chopping fire Wood and Tineisha sister was riding on her bike and my mum ran down the driveway so it didn't go down there. Then it jumped the fence again into the paddock. It was a bit scary at the time.

Birthday

On Saturday it was Tineisha birthday party,it was fun we got to do Relays,netball and spotlight we watch a movie,when we where watching it we had cake it was yum! I liked Tineisha's birthday Party. By Anna
